Soy Débora Jerez. Cocí mi primera camisa de Gaza cristal  negra, que esta hermosa - jaja - y aún conservo porque es mi primer " hijito " en la costura y desde entonces no paré: alta costura, trajes de baile, disfraces, uniformes, cortinas y mucho más. Todo hecho a mano, en mi taller de Córdoba.

I am Débora Jerez. I sewed my first flamenco dress for myself and never stopped: couture, dance costumes, character outfits, uniforms, curtains and much more. All made by hand, in my workshop in Córdoba.

El baile me enseñó a mirar el detalle.

Bailo flamenco. Antes de coser un traje ya sé cómo tiene que moverse: dónde cae el peso del volado, cuánto vuelo necesita una falda para que el giro se vea, qué costura aguanta una función entera.

Ese mismo criterio lo aplico a todo lo que sale del taller, sea un vestido de novia, el uniforme de una cocina o un juego de cortinas.

Flamenco taught me to look at the detail.

I dance flamenco. Before I sew a costume I already know how it has to move: where the weight of a ruffle falls, how much fabric a skirt needs for the turn to read, which seam survives a whole performance.

I bring that same judgement to everything that leaves the workshop, whether it is a bridal gown, a kitchen uniform or a set of curtains.

Trabajo por encargo, de a una prenda o por lote. Si no ves lo que buscás en la lista, preguntame: en veintitantos años de taller casi todo pasó por la máquina.

Anything that can be sewn is sewn here.

I work to order, one garment at a time or in batches. If what you need is not on the list, just ask: after decades at the workshop, almost everything has passed under the machine.
